Test goal table

The concept of ‘result’ is of central importance in BDTM, first when establishing the test assignment and later in reporting to the client. Different clients may define the result at different levels of abstraction. Examples include result definitions in terms of realised/operational critical success factors, change proposals (for maintenance), requirements, business processes, and so on. The term ‘test goal’ is used as a collective term.

Definition

A test goal is a success criterion for the test assignment formulated in the language of the client or stakeholder.
